Manimahesh Lake (4,080 m) lies directly beneath the soaring Manimahesh Kailash peak (5,656 m) in the Bharmour region of Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. The 13 km trail from Hadsar passes the Dhancho waterfall and climbs to a lake so still it mirrors the mountain — one of the most spiritually charged walks in the western Himalayas. We run the whole trip from Dehradun, start to finish.
Depart Dehradun via Pathankot to Chamba.
Arrive Chamba. Check in. Dinner.
Breakfast and the 65 km drive to Bharmour.
Visit the Chaurasi Mandir complex — 84 stone temples.
Continue to Hadsar. Check in, dinner and a trek briefing.
Begin the 13 km trek to the lake.
Reach Dhancho (2,987 m) with its waterfall and camp.
Reach Manimahesh Lake (4,080 m). Darshan and puja.
Overnight camp by the lake.
Sunrise prayers by the lake.
Begin the 13 km descent to Hadsar.
Drive back to Bharmour. Dinner. Overnight.
Breakfast and the return journey to Dehradun.
Arrive in Dehradun with Kailash blessings.
